Overseas AST Co. LLC was originally an Austrian Company which commenced operations in Dubai in 1959 to develop the creek and build the Maktoum Bridge. These were just the first of the numerous landmark projects which have since helped to change the face of the U.A.E. Overseas AST operated as a foreign entity until 1983, when Mr. Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda and Mr. Abdulla Mohammed Mazrui acquired a majority share in the business. They bought out the remaining shares in 2001.
